Kids

FBC Kids Ministry is a fun, safe, and Christ-centered environment where children grow in their faith and understanding of God's Word. Through engaging lessons, worship, and activities, we partner with families to help kids know and follow Jesus.

A Place For Everyone

Adults

Our Adult Ministry at FBC is designed to help men and women grow in their walk with Christ through Bible studies, small groups, and intentional community.

Whether you're single, married, raising a family, or navigating a new season of life, there’s a place for you to connect, grow, and serve.

  • Communities (Small Groups)

Everyone at Family Bible Church should be a part of a Community (Small Group) where they are known, cared for, and loved. This life was not meant to be lived alone. There are a number of groups for you to be a part where you can experience the fullness of life Jesus intends for you as you grow in your faith alongside others.

  • Discipleship

Various courses offered in a group setting to help you grow in your faith, whether you're still learning about faith, new to faith, or have been growing in a relationship with Jesus for many years.

Practicing the Way is a journey designed to help you integrate the teachings of Jesus into your everyday life. The courses & practices invites you to explore spiritual practices like Sabbath, prayer, fasting, simplicity, and hospitality—habits that can transform your relationship with God, your community, and yourself.

Through guided teachings, practical exercises, and meaningful group discussions, you’ll learn how to align your daily rhythms with the way of Jesus. This journey is for anyone looking to slow down, grow spiritually, and live with greater purpose in a world full of distractions. It’s an opportunity to deepen your faith and experience the life God designed for you.

    OFFERED COURSES/PRACTICES AT FBC

Practicing the Way – This course is the starting place to begin this journey. It is designed to help get you started on the journey of spiritual formation, help you get unstuck if you’ve stalled out, or just guide you into taking your next step. Ultimately, its goal is to train you to live as an apprentice of Jesus: to be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did. Eight weeks (eight sessions in person). Required course before the other practices.

    Returning Fall 2025

Sabbath Course – Sabbath is a twenty-four hour time period set aside to stop, rest, delight, and worship. It is the best day of the week. In our era of chronic exhaustion, emotional unhealth, and spiritual stagnation, few things are more necessary than the recovery of this ancient practice. Four sessions. Prerequisite: Practicing the Way Course

    Returning Fall 2025

Prayer Practice – The Prayer Practice will help you learn to set aside dedicated time to intentionally be with God, in order to become like him and partner with him in the world. Four sessions. Prerequisite: Practicing the Way Course

    Returning Fall 2025

Fasting Practice –This practice is one of the most essential and powerful of all the practices of Jesus and, arguably, the single most neglected one in the modern, Western church. The Fasting Practice will train you in this ancient discipline, integrating your whole body into life with God. Eight weeks, four weeks in person. Prerequisite: Practicing the Way Course

Launching at FBC Fall 2025, facilitated by Kris Tarkiewicz

    FUTURE PRACTICES OFFERED AT FBC

Solitude Practice in an increasingly distracted and noisy world, we need solitude more than ever. The practice of solitude mimics Jesus’ rhythm of retreat and return: retreat from people and distractions to be with God, in order to return to community in love and service. Prerequisite: Practicing the Way Course

Generosity Practice when Jesus said there is more joy in giving than in receiving, he turned our vision of the good life on its head. Through the practice of generosity, we tap into God’s joy, find freedom from greed through contentment, and embody God’s concern for those in need. Prerequisite: Practicing the Way Course

  • Young Adults

Young Adults is for those 18+ who are looking for a community to enjoy being with and growing alongside. Events and Bible Studies offered regularly.

  • Prime Timers

This is a group established to provide fellowship for those who are empty-nesters and older. Currently, our goal is to provide fellowship events 5-6 times a year.

  • Sunday Morning Bible Study

Our class meets each Sunday in Room 101 at 10 am. We all enjoy an hour (or more) of fellowship as well as reading and discussing the Scripture. We will select a book of the Bible to study and each week we will read and discuss a chapter.

Everyone has the opportunity (and is encouraged) to contribute what the Scripture defined when it was written and if the verses provide any parallels or learning opportunities for us today.

This offers an enlightening history lesson as well as provoking thoughts for now. We are always welcoming newcomers to join our lively group. Each session brings different insights, new meanings to old verses, and the opportunity to learn more from the Bible and care for each other.

We close by praising God and giving thanks for His undying love, and asking for His intercession, guidance, and wisdom as we prepare for the week ahead. Indeed, we use the time to share our love and support for one another in this safe space.

  • Wednesday Prayer Group

The Wednesday evening prayer group meets from 6:30-7:30 pm in Room 101. The meetings generally consist of an opening prayer followed by praise and prayer requests and a short devotional thought or Scripture reading shared by one of the attendees.

The remainder of time is dedicated to praying for each other, acquaintances, church attendees, church staff, salvations, missions, revival, and issues in our society and the world.

  • Membership

When you are born again, you become a member of the family of God. It is important for each member of this family to grow with others. It is important to identify yourself with other believers in the local church. We encourage you to consider joining this community of believers.

Membership is an active, participatory role at Family Bible Church. To provide you with a clear picture of membership at Family Bible Church, we offer a membership class. This membership class is filled with information to help you learn more about Family Bible Church. You’ll join others and gain a deeper understanding about the church. You will hear about the church’s history … and where it’s heading. You’ll discover what we believe and why we do what we do. You’ll get all of the “inside info” you’re looking for from one of the deacons who teach the class.

If you are ready to join the community and all of the excitement that is taking place, then membership at Family Bible Church is for you. Who qualifies for membership?
